Seniors Day
Seniors Day is a free event held in October to celebrate the contributions that seniors make to our City.
Seniors Day 2026
Seniors and older adults are invited to celebrate Seniors Day with an afternoon of celebration and community connection on October 1 at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre from noon to 3 p.m.
The free event will feature:
- Information booths
- Light refreshments
- Prize draws
- Entertainment by Damien Follett
No registration is required and event is first come, first served. Parking is limited.

Metrobus is offering Seniors Ride Free Day for anyone over the age of 65 including the GoBus and Community Bus.
Other Celebrations
A proclamation with take place during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 29 at 3 p.m. to recognize National Seniors Day and United Nations International Day of Older Persons. There will also be a flag raising at City Hall on Monday, September 28 at 10:30 a.m.
