Cruise Ship Artania arrives October 7

The Artania with 1200 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 7th, and depart at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8th.

Please note that ship arrivals and departures are subject to various conditions, including weather and ships’ schedules. For the most up-to-date information on cruise ships coming to the City of St. John’s call the Cruise Information Line.

Please be advised that the main swimming pool at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre is closed for unplanned maintenance this morning (October 3, 2024). The leisure pool remains open.

Compost Giveaway to Celebrate Circular Economy Month

To celebrate Circular Economy Month, the City of St. John’s is giving away free compost at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility, located at 340 East White Hills Road, every Saturday in October from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The compost giveaway is self-serve. Please bring your own gloves, shovels, and buckets to collect a maximum of 250 litres, or approximately 12 five-gallon buckets per visit. Mechanical equipment is not permitted. If you're using an open truck or trailer, you will be required to...
