Closure Extended - H.G.R. Mews Centre Pool

Please be advised the closure of the pool, steam room and sauna at H.G.R. Mews Centre has been extended as we continue to wait for parts to complete the required repairs to equipment. An update will be provided on Tuesday, March 19 by 11 a.m.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

St. Patrick’s Day Holiday City Schedule - March 18

Due to the St. Patrick’s Day holiday on Monday, Mar. 18, City offices and facilities will be closed.

Please note:

• Garbage and recycling will be collected on Monday.
• The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• All City parking by-laws are still in effect including paid parking regulations as Monday is not a Shops Closing holiday.

Indigenize Downtown: City of St. John’s and First Light to Host Community Feast

Traffic Calming Measures being Implemented on City Streets

The City of St. John’s has announced additional traffic calming measures that will be implemented on City streets.

Streets that have already trialed temporary traffic calming, and will see permanent installation of speed cushions in 2024 include:

• Baird Place between Vinnicombe Street to Wicklow Street
• Empire Avenue between Blackmarsh Road and Jensen Camp Road

The votes for the Ward 4 By-Election have been counted. Residents have elected a new council representative, Tom Davis.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, residents living in Ward 4 of the City of St. John's will elect a new Councillor. The candidates are:
