The west washrooms (at the canteen building) at Bowring Park, will be closed for maintenance October 10 and 11 inclusive. The duck pond washrooms will remain open. The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

Overnight work on Paton Street (near Elizabeth Avenue intersection) will take place from 11:00 p.m. October 10 to 7:00 a.m. October 11. This will include water shut offs and is required to install a fire hydrant. Those impacted by the water shut off have already been notified.

Today (October 8, 2024), Council approved the Building Safer Communities Strategy at the Committee of the Whole Meeting, which supports crime prevention activities throughout the City. The City is considering rezoning lands along Main Road and Shoal Bay Road, Goulds, from the Rural Residential Infill (RRI) Zone to the Residential 1 (R1) Zone. A Municipal Pan amendment is also required to re-designate the land from the Urban Expansion District to the Residential District.
