Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed on Wednesday, May 15 and Thursday, May 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

Water Street from Clift’s-Baird’s Cove to Prescott Street will continue to be closed to traffic on Tuesday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will be detoured to Harbour Drive, however local access and parking will be available via the Clift’s-Baird’s Cove intersection. The closure is required to facilitate sewer cleaning and video inspections on Water Street.

The City has opened the Residential Re-Leaf program, where St. John's residents can apply for a $200 voucher towards the purchase of a tree to plant on their property. There are 150 vouchers available.
