To help reduce confusion and streamline communication, the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) will no longer issue separate fire advisories. Instead, we encourage all residents to regularly check the Provincial Fire Hazard Map provided by the Department of Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture and to follow the associated guidelines.

The City of St. John’s is hosting its annual Party in the Park on Wednesday, July 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the lawn by the Bowring Park Bungalow. Party in the Park is a free event for seniors which includes local entertainment along with light refreshments, giveaways and more.
This year’s entertainers include Elaine Dunphy, The Boogie Babes, Paddy Burke and youth performer Brett Crane.

Please be advised that the City of St. John’s fireworks planned for 10 p.m. on July 1 are cancelled due to current Provincial fire index rating for our Region. The use of personal/backyard fireworks is also strictly prohibited.
