A detour will be in place on Cornwall Avenue from 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m., between Glenview Terrace and O’Reilly Street, due to construction. Cornwall Avenue will remain open to through traffic during peak traffic hours (7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m.) and after hours.

University Avenue between Paton Street and Prince Philip Drive has been reopened to traffic. However, traffic is reduced to one lane, temporary diverted around the construction area and restricted to passenger vehicles only, including buses. Dump trucks and other large construction vehicles/equipment are not permitted to use the traffic diversion.

The Rotary Sunshine Park beach access mat has been removed for the season.
The beach access mat was installed earlier this summer thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of St. John’s. It provides a stable, non-slip surface over the sand, making the beach area more accessible to individuals using wheelchairs, walkers or strollers.
The beach access mat will be installed annually at Rotary Sunshine Park from approximately June to September.
