To be Rescheduled - Lane Reductions - Prescott Street (between Water Street and Military Road)

The periodic lane reductions for Prescott Street scheduled from Tuesday, November 4 to Thursday, November 6 to facilitate exploratory work for the Prescott Street Infrastructure Project will be rescheduled.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, curbside waste collection is cancelled for Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The Residential Drop Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and will reopen 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.
The revised curbside collection schedule for this week is:
- Tuesday & Wednesday (Areas 2 & 3) collection will take place Thursday, Nov. 6

National Child Day: Free Events November 15 to 20

November 20 is National Child Day in Canada, a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere to live happy, healthy lives, and to support them in reaching their full potential. To celebrate, the City of St. John’s is offering free events and programs from November 15 to 20 at various community centres. Due to forecasted weather conditions, curbside waste collection is cancelled for Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The Residential Drop Off at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closing at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
An update will be provided by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4 regarding curbside waste collection and the Residential Drop Off for Wednesday, Nov. 5.

Street Rehab - November 3 to 8

Contractors may be working on the following streets from November 3 to 8 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. New accessible washrooms are coming to Kelly’s Brook Park!
To facilitate construction, the Shared-Use Path in Kelly’s Brook Park near Hoyles Avenue (including the trail connection to Hoyles Avenue) will be closed starting Monday, November 3. The closure is expected to conclude in approximately two weeks.
