Application - 222 LeMarchant Road

The City has received an application to amend the Envision St. John's Development Regulations to add "Dwelling Unit - 1st storey" as a Discretionary Use to the Commercial Office Hotel (COH) Zone. The proposed amendment is prompted by an application from Gagnon Walker Domes Ltd. to convert the existing building at 222 LeMarchant Road into a fully residential rental building. Traffic Advisory – Freshwater Road/Kenmount Road (between Polina Road and Crosbie Road)

To accommodate road and sidewalk upgrades on Freshwater Road/Kenmount Road between Polina Road and Crosbie Road, the following traffic impacts will be in effect starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 18:

• Eastbound traffic will be shifted into a westbound lane, resulting in a single lane of traffic in each direction. Traffic lane separators (also known as delineators) will be used to separate opposing traffic lanes.

Party in the Park Rescheduled for July 17

Due to the forecasted high temperatures and humidex this week, the annual Party in the Park will be cancelled for Wednesday, July 16. The event will now take place indoors on Thursday, July 17 at the Mazol Shriners at 530 Topsail Road from 1 to 4 p.m.

7:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 8

A temporary lane reduction and sidewalk closure will be in place on Macdonald Drive to accommodate work on the Portugal Cove Road to Logy Bay Road Shared-Use Path project.

Construction for Crosstown Shared-Use Path Project to Begin

The City of St. John’s is making progress on the development of the Crosstown Shared-Use Path (SUP). Work will begin on eastern section of the route, from Portugal Cove Road to Logy Bay Road, on July 16.
