The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is advising residents that wildfires are causing drifting smoke into St. John’s and surrounding areas. While the incident is outside our direct jurisdiction, the smoke may affect air quality in our area.
We recommend that residents turn off air exchangers and HVAC units to help reduce indoor smoke exposure.

Effective immediately, the Paul Reynolds Community Centre is closed to facilitate a repair to mechanical equipment that impacts the heating and the cooling of the building.
Day camps will continue to operate, as arrangements have been made for additional field trips. Pick up and drop off will continue to take place at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre. Participants will be contacted directly by program staff with further details.
