The Office of the City Clerk is seeking expressions of interest from a public representative (or their caregiver) to serve on the Seniors Advisory Committee.

The Seniors Advisory Committee provides information and advice to Council on matters related to seniors that intersect City policies and programs. Items are referred to the Committee by other committees of council, or as initiated by the committee.

Application - 603 Topsail Road

A Discretionary Use Application has been submitted by 95887 Newfoundland & Labrador Inc. at 603 Topsail Road.

Description

The proposed application is for a Child Care Centre, which will accommodate up to 58 children and approximately 12 employees. The Child Care Centre will utilize the existing building, with a total floor area of 290.4m2 and will operate Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Parking relief has been requested.

Water Advisory: Cloudy Water Due to Air in Water System

The City has received reports of cloudy water from residents living in areas of the west end of St. John’s. Please be advised that the cloudiness is a result of air mixing with the water system at Bay Bulls Big Pond. The water is safe to drink and the air will dissipate within the next couple of days.
