Cruise Ship Azamara Quest arrives July 30

The Azamara Quest with 694 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, and depart at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.

Please note that ship arrivals and departures are subject to various conditions, including weather and ships’ schedules. For the most up-to-date information on cruise ships coming to the City of St. John’s call the Cruise Information Line.

Regatta Day Holiday City Schedule - July 30, 2025

The Royal St. John’s Regatta is set to occur on Wednesday, July 30. If the weather is not suitable on July 30 and the Regatta Committee postpones the event, the following list pertains to whichever day the Royal St. John’s Regatta occurs.

All City offices and facilities are closed on Regatta Day.

Please note:

Curbside waste collection will occur as normal and is not affected by the holiday.
All recreation facilities and community centres will be closed on Regatta Day.

Street Rehab - July 28 to August 2

Contractors may be working on the following streets from July 21 to August 2 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Motorists are advised there will be a temporary lane reduction at Brookfield Road between Pearltown Road and Lester’s Farm to facilitate work of the Brookfield Road Water Transmission Main Relocation project. Alternate pedestrian routes will be provided. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site. Slowdowns and delays will be experienced. Road Closures - Regatta Eve and Regatta Day

To facilitate the Regatta events there will be various road closures and No Parking/Tow Away areas implemented. These road restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of pedestrians around the Regatta Site.

Access will only be permitted for emergency and service vehicles on roads that are closed for Regatta Eve and Regatta Day.
