City Prepares for Snow Storm Forecasted to Begin February 9, 2025

City crews are preparing for a winter storm which is scheduled to begin overnight Sunday night into Monday.  

The City has introduced a new Weather Hub to centralize all weather-related information in one place.

Postponed: Waste Collection Feb. 7

Due to forecasted high winds, curbside waste collection will not occur on Friday, February 7. Collection will now take place on Saturday, February 8. Please place bags or bins at the curb between 6 and 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

New Recreation Master Plan Launched

The City of St. John’s has released its new Recreation Master Plan, a comprehensive framework designed to proactively manage the current and future provision of recreation facilities, spaces and programs. The recommendations and direction within the Recreation Master Plan will help prioritize investment in recreation infrastructure over the next decade.
