Website Temporarily Unavailable: October 12, 2022

The City of St. John's website will be unavailable Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. for scheduled maintenance.

Cruise Ship Sky Princess Arrives Oct. 13

The Arcadia with 3600 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13 and depart at 5 p.m.

Road Construction: October 10 to 14

Contractors may be working on the following streets from October 10 to 14 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.  Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

• Allandale Road (Pippy Park Golf Club to the end)
• Barkham Street
• Blackwood Place
• Burdell Place
• Cadet Road
• Empire Avenue (Edinburgh Street to Freshwater...

Road Closure: Springdale Street October 7 to 28

Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, between Water Street and George Street West, will be closed Friday, Oct. 7 to Friday, October 28 to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel.  A traffic detour will be in place.

Meeting Scheduled for Kilbride Residents

Ward 5 Councillor Carl Ridgeley will hold a meeting for those residents of Kilbride with concerns stemming from Hurricane Earl:

• 7 p.m.

Cruise Ships Amera and Ocean Endeavour Arrive Oct. 9

The Amera with 645 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John's on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 8 a.m. and depart at 6 p.m.

The Ocean Endeavour is scheduled to arrive at 7:30 am and depart 6 p.m.

Road Closure Blackhead Road Cancelled

Due to the wet weather forecast, work on Blackhead Road at Blackhead Crescent will be postponed until a later date. 

Originally, this work was planned for Saturday Oct 8, 2022, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to facilitate the installation of culverts.
