System maintenance is scheduled for the City's mobile app '311 St. John's' overnight tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 11:30 p.m. to about 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The app will not be in service during this time.

The City of St. John’s, with support from Tree Canada, is celebrating National Forest Week (September 18 to 24) and the 12-year anniversary of National Tree Day on September 21.
On Wednesday, the City along with students from Larkall Academy, Tree Canada, the Bowring Park Foundation, Clean St. John’s, Newfoundland Power, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will celebrate National Tree Day with a tree planting ceremony and BBQ at the Kenmount Terrace Community Centre....

In partnership with CNIB, the City of St. John’s invites users and non-users of the BlindSquare Event application, piloted at the Downtown Pedestrian Mall this year to provide feedback on their experience.
The BlindSquare Event application is an accessible navigation and wayfinding tool designed for individuals with low vision or blindness, or any person who would benefit from a wayfinding tool to navigate an area safely.

Contractors may be working on the following streets from August 29 to September 2 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:

Effective immediately, Cadet Road has reopened.
Old Petty Harbour Road and Mooney Crescent will remain closed until Friday, Oct. 7, 2022 to facilitate repairs. Emergency vehicles and local traffic will have access to Mooney Crescent. Please adhere to all traffic control signage.
Syme’s Bridge also remains closed at this time. Update to follow.

The Fridtjof Nansen with 530 passengers is scheduled to arrive in the Port of St. John’s at 1 p.m.. on Saturday, Sept. 17 and depart at 6 p.m.
