Residential Drop Off Closed March 25

Due to forecasted weather conditions the Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop Off (RDO) will be closed Saturday, Mar. 25, 2023.
The Residential Drop Off will reopen Tuesday, Mar. 28 at 8 a.m.
The commercial landfill and recycling facility will be open Saturday, Mar. 25, 8 a.m. to noon.
The City of St John’s apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
24-Hour Parking Restriction in Effect: March 24, 2023

The 24-Hour Parking Restriction will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 9:00 p.m., Friday, Mar. 24, 2023.
On-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the restriction is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.
An update will be issued to confirm when the parking restriction will be lifted.

Traffic Delays: Water Street Infrastructure Improvements (March 23, 2023)

The final phase of the five-year Water Street Infrastructure Improvement project begins March 27, 2023.
This project will proceed in phases. For the first stage, there will be significant traffic delays and detours in the following areas:
- Waldegrave Street heading south from the New Gower Street/ Barter’s Hill intersection (near the Delta Hotel) to Water Street will be closed to through traffic. Local access only will be provided along Waldegrave Street. Motorists will have to find another...

Garbage and Recycling Postponed March 20

Due to forecasted high winds, garbage and recycling collection will be postponed on Monday, Mar. 20, 2023
Impacted areas:
- 1A and 1B
Garbage collection for Area 1A and 1B, including recycling for 1A will now take place on Tuesday, Mar. 21.
Garbage collection for Area 2A and 2B, including recycling for 2A, will also take place as scheduled on Tuesday.
Residents in Area 1 and Area 2 may experience delays due to the double collection day.
