that pursuant to the provisions of the City of St. John's Municipal Taxation Act, and with particular reference to sections 35 and 36 thereof, the City of St. John’s hereby offers for sale, by public auction for arrears of taxes, the following properties situate at St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador:

Time and Place of Sale

The above noted properties will be sold by public auction on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Foran/Greene Room, 4th Floor, City Hall.

Conditions of Sale

In addition to any other conditions of sale contained in the City of St. John’s Municipal Taxation Act, the successful purchaser must deposit with the auctioneer at the time of the sale, cash, certified cheque, or bank draft for the Minimum Bid Amount on the property as shown above.  The balance of the purchase price is to be paid within 30 days of the sale.  HST will be charged where applicable.

Information packages on each of the properties are on the City’s website.   Information contained in the information package is not guaranteed to be correct.  The City makes no representations as to the suitability of a property for development or any other purposes.  Prospective bidders/purchasers are strongly encouraged to research and make all relevant inquiries as to the suitability of the property for their purposes in advance of the auction.

The sale may be cancelled upon payment of the demand amount of the taxes outlined above.
