Anti-Racism Working Group
The Anti-Racism Working Group is primarily responsible for:
- developing and implementing a work plan that fosters anti-racism while promoting diversity and inclusion in the City of St. John’s
- providing solution-based recommendations to Council and City Staff

Apply to be a Member
The Office of the City Clerk is seeking expressions of interest to fill one vacancy on the Anti-Racism Working Group (ARWG) in the following category: residents with relevant lived experience and connections to diverse communities.
Please be advised that meetings generally take place Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, though evening meetings may occasionally be scheduled.
The deadline for submission of applications is Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Working group member roles, responsibilities, and length of term are set according to the Committee’s Terms of Reference.
