Councillor Jamie Korab represents Ward 3 in the City of St. John's.

Jamie is in his second term on St. John's City Council as the Councillor for Ward 3. In addition to serving Ward 3, he is Council lead of development and City's council member on the Quidi Vidi Rennies River Development Foundation. Councillor Korab also sits on the Eastern Regional Service Board.
His previous roles on Council include being the representative on the Northeast Avalon Joint Council; Bowring Park Foundation; Animal Care and Control; Special Events Advisory Council; Community Service; Council representative on the 2025 Canada Games Committee; past member of the transportation committee (Metrobus & Paratransit); and past chair of St. John's Sports and Entertainment, Ltd.
Jamie graduated with a diploma in IT and worked in this field for five years after which he was employed for five years with Bell Aliant as a Marketing Communications Coordinator, largely focused in sport sponsorship. Councillor Korab has been working as a realtor with RE/MAX Realty Specialists since 2012. He has a diverse sports background winning provincial titles in basketball, soccer and curling (winning the World Juniors in 2001 and Olympic Gold in 2006). He has also coached at the national level with Team NL at the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
He previously sat on the board of Kids Eat Smart and currently sits on the school council at Cowan Heights Elementary. In 2012, he was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Jamie received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Memorial University and is the recipient of the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador.
