Adaptive equipment improves accessibility for those with mobility related disabilities. This free, lending service is based on availability and reservation. Equipment may be borrowed for up to two weeks. A minimum of one week notice is appreciated for requests.

Duet Bike |
The duet bike provides a supported seated cycling experience for individuals who are unable to ride a traditional bicycle. Bonus feature: when you arrive at your destination, the wheelchair detaches and is fully functional. Measurements

Handcycle |
The handcycle is ideal for those with good upper body strength and coordination to ride through trails, parks and neighborhoods. Features a 17-inch wide, sliding adjustable seat and adjustable footrest. |
All-terrain wheelchair |
A lightweight and waterproof all-terrain wheelchair. The hippocampe with wheels is great for trails, parks, sidewalks and splashpads while the hippocampe with skis is great for snow covered terrain. Available sizesSeat width is 16.5" with a weight capacity of 285lbs.

Ice Sledge |
Ice sledges provide a seated skating experience. Ideal for leisure skating or sledge hockey and have optional rear push handle attachment and/or self-propelling sticks. The leg/footrest is telescopic to fit a variety of users. Available sizes

Sit Ski |
A sit ski, sometimes referred to as a bi-ski, with adjustable telescopic footrest and 12-inch wide seat, is best suited for users with good upper body strength and coordination. Available on loan for cross country use only at the Pippy Park Winter Activity Centre. |
Snow Coach Sled |
The snow coach sled, with raised back support and headrest, provides users with a seated sliding experience along flat, snow covered terrain. A caregiver/attendant pushes from behind. One size fits most. |
