Seniors Day is a free event held to celebrate the contributions that seniors make to our City and provides information, resources, and opportunities for recreation and socialization.
For 2023, Seniors Day is taking place on Thursday, October 5 at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre from 12 to 4 p.m. and is open to seniors and individuals interested in seniors matters. No registration is required and event is first come, first served. Parking is limited. Please note: Gleneyre Street is under construction, with a detour in place.
There will be information booths, light refreshments, prize draws and entertainment by Fergus O'Byrne and Jim Payne.

Metrobus is offering Seniors Ride Free Day on October 5 for anyone over the age of 65 including the GoBus and Community Bus.
Seniors Day will also feature a flag raising on Tuesday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at City Hall to recognize National Seniors Day and United Nations International Day of Older Persons. There will also be a proclamation during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 3.
