This community park is a hub for recreation located right next to the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre. It features walking trails linking to Mundy Pond, a community garden and edible orchard, a softball ballfield, playground, dog park and a skate park. At over 11,000 square feet, the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Playground is the largest inclusive play space in St. John’s welcoming kids of all abilities to join in the magic of play. From double-wide ramps to barrier and transfer-free equipment, it is thoughtfully designed to accommodate physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities. Some of the unique features include swings, multi-play and climbing structures, a collection of musical instruments, We-Saw, We-Go-Round™, Cozy Dome. The playground's equipment and rubber surfacing allow for a barrier-free transition from pathways to play area.
