18-Hole Disc Golf Course Proposed for Airport Heights – Feedback Wanted

The City of St. John’s has received a development application for the creation of an 18-hole disc golf course in Airport Heights at the top of McNiven Place. The area is currently an informal open space.

“We want to hear from residents of Airport Heights, those interested in disc golf and residents who currently use the area at the top of McNiven Place,” says Ward 1 Councillor Jill Bruce. “City staff will complete a review of the feedback they receive which will inform the development recommendation.”

Engagement is open from October 10 to 27. Residents in the area will receive information in the mail about the project. Learn more about the project at EngageStJohns.ca. Feedback can be provided through the comment and mapping tools on the project page, via email to engage@stjohns.ca, or by calling 311 and asking to speak to a member of the project team. Residents can also learn more about the application and provide feedback at a drop-in open house on Wednesday, October 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roncalli Elementary School gym.

As this project is tied to a development application and is not a City-led project, feedback gathered will inform staff’s recommendations regarding the final approval.
