We’re less than a week away from the kickoff of the 2025 East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs) — a five-day celebration of East Coast music and culture taking place in St. John’s from May 7–11. With a jam-packed schedule of showcases, award ceremonies, community events, and fan favourites, the ECMAs are set to shine a spotlight on the region’s top talent and vibrant music scene. Highlights of the Week Include:

Kick-Off Party (May 7)

Start the celebration at the JAG Soundhouse, presented by Atlantic Lottery, with performances by The Irish Descendants, Mick Davis & Thin Love, and With Violet. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the flagship event at Mary Brown’s Centre, featuring performances by Classified, Shanneyganock, Measha Brueggergosman-Lee, Kellie Loder, The Ennis Sisters, and more. Proudly presented by Rogers.

ECMA All-Stars Charity Basketball Game (May 10)

Join artists, athletes, and community members for a free, family-friendly game in support of the Boys and Girls Club (BCG)! Tip-off is at 4 p.m. at the BCG at 25 Buckmasters Circle. Dairy Farmers of Canada ECMA Fan Fest (May 11)

Wrap up the week with a free outdoor concert on George Street from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring Rachel Cousins, Dee Dee Austin, and Neon Dreams. Enjoy live music, meet-and-greets, and family activities.
