City Appoints Kris Connors as Deputy City Manager, Finance and Corporate Services
The City of St. John’s is pleased to announce the appointment of Kris Connors as Deputy City Manager, Finance and Corporate Services.
Mr. Connors brings more than a decade of experience in municipal finance and corporate services with the City of St. John’s. Most recently, he served as Manager of Budget and Treasury, where he led the development of the City’s operating and capital budgets, long-term financial planning, and treasury operations, while providing strategic financial advice to senior leadership and Council.
“Kris brings a strong track record in financial leadership and a deep understanding of municipal operations,” said Mayor Danny Breen. “His experience and commitment to accountability and sound decision-making will help support Council’s priorities and the City’s long-term financial sustainability.”
In his new role, Mr. Connors will provide strategic leadership and oversight for Access St. John’s, Assessment, Budget and Treasury, Corporate Information Services, Financial Services, Organizational Performance and Strategy, Revenue Accounting and Supply Chain.
“I’m honoured to take on this role and continue serving the residents of St. John’s,” said Mr. Connors. “I look forward to working with Council and City staff to support responsible financial management and the delivery of high-quality services.”
Mr. Connors is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University. He succeeds Derek Coffey, who was appointed City Manager in February 2026.
