City of St. John’s to Host Learn it, Live it: Everyday Sustainability Event
The City of St. John’s and the Youth Engagement Working Group is hosting Learn it, Live it: Everyday Sustainability, a free public event for 18 to 30-year-olds focused on practical, everyday actions that contribute to a more sustainable future. This initiative aligns with one of the City’s strategic directions of being a sustainable city and supports its role as a climate leader through Resilient St. John’s, the City’s comprehensive climate action plan.
Event details are as follows:
- Date: Thursday, June 26
- Time: 6 to 8:30 p.m.
- Location: St. John’s Community Market, 245 Freshwater Road
The event will include interactive learning stations hosted by local organizations including:
- NewfoundSAND
- Stewardship Association of Municipalities (SAM)
- Take Charge NL
- Metrobus
- econext
- City of St. John’s Waste and Recycling
- City of St. John’s Sustainability
- City of St. John’s Emergency and Safety Services
There will also be a short presentation to learn about the City’s commitment to sustainability followed by a trivia session with games to be won. Refreshments will be provided.

Space is limited. Participants should register online to reserve their spot.
