The City of St. John’s is pleased to share that Deputy Mayor Sheilagh O’Leary is the recipient of the Municipal World Women of Influence in Local Government Award.

The award celebrates women who have made significant contributions to local government, whether on the administrative or political side. It recognizes women who have demonstrated leadership, strength, and determination, as well as grace under pressure. Recipients of this award have worked collaboratively and lifted others up in the pursuit of effecting positive change in their communities.
