The St. John’s Local Immigration Partnership is proud to host its sixth annual My New St. John’s event on October 22, 2026 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the St. John’s Community Market, 245 Freshwater Road. The event is free to attend and there will be free on-site childminding from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Registration for child minding is required. Deadline to register is October 21 and there is a maximum of 15 children per timeslot. 

If you are new to St. John’s, the event is your opportunity to:

• Discover what St. John’s has to offer
• Connect with community organizations staffed by a diverse group of community leaders
• Learn about programs and services designed to help you settle in our municipality
• Meet new people in your community

The St. John’s Community Market is accessible by Metrobus and GoBus. Information about building accessibility and parking is available on the St. John’s Community Market website.

Dedicated buses will also run from MUN and CNA to the event and back.

• Pickup times: 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
• Final return bus: 6:30 p.m.
• MUN pickup: Internationalization Office
• CNA pickup: Main entrance
