Families and neighbours are invited to come together as part of Neighbourhood Connect, a free community initiative focused on building connections and creating healthier, more connected neighbourhoods.

The next Neighbourhood Connect event will be an outdoor play session at Martin’s Meadow Park, 79 Cabot Street, on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Families are encouraged to join the fun, get outdoors and connect with others in the neighbourhood.

Participants can expect:

• Human-sized games
• Recreation equipment for all ages
• Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries’ Library on the Go
• A baby-friendly space

As the event will take place outdoors, attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, bring sun protection and pack a water bottle to stay comfortable throughout the morning.

The accessible entrance to Martin’s Meadow Park is located off Cabot Street.

Residents who require adaptive equipment to participate are asked to contact inclusion@stjohns.ca. Information about the city’s Adaptive Equipment Lending Program is also available for those who may benefit from additional supports.
