Public Open House: Materials Recovery Facility

In this region, recycling is collected, sorted and bundled for new markets at the Materials Recovery Facility in Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility.
Come see what happens behind the doors at the MRF on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet the staff and see the operation up close.
Did you know, since introducing mandatory curbside collection and a change to clear bags for garbage, we are collecting a sustained 25-30% more recycling over previous years? We are celebrating this and other achievements during Waste Reduction Week, October 17 to 23. Come meet some of our partners in waste reduction at the open house, including:
