Remembrance Day
Due to the Remembrance Day holiday on Saturday, November 11, all recreation facilities, community centres, and the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed.
Please note:
- Most City offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, November 13.
- All recreation facilities will be open on Monday, November 13.
- Waste and recycling will be collected on Monday, November 13.
- The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for commercial users only on Monday, November 13.
- All City parking by-laws are still in effect including paid parking regulations as Monday, November 13 is not a Shops Closing Holiday.
- Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenny’s Pond and Quidi Vidi Lake.

Remembrance Day Parade, Ceremony and Road Closures
The Royal Canadian Legion Newfoundland and Labrador Remembrance Day parade and ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 11 at the Sergeants’ Memorial, Queen’s Road at 10:15 a.m.
The following road closures will be in effect on Saturday, November 11 to facilitate Remembrance Day events:
- Queen's Road (Rawlins Cross to Long’s Hill) 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Rolling closures of Queen’s Road and New Gower Street (Long’s Hill to City Hall) 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
