REVISED: Bannerman Park (Including Pool and Splash Pad) and St. Pat's Ballfield Closed for Japanese Beetle Treatment – July 3, 2026

The City of St. John’s wishes to advise residents that Bannerman Park, including the pool, splash pad, and playground, and St. Pat's Ballfield will be closed all day on Friday, July 3, 2026 to facilitate Japanese Beetle Treatment.

The extended closure will allow sufficient time for the treatment to dry under current weather conditions, helping ensure it is fully effective before the facilities reopen to the public.

These facilities will reopen for regular operations on Saturday, July 4.

These treatments are part of the province’s ongoing eradication program to help prevent the spread of this invasive pest.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as this work is completed.
