Road Closures - Canada Games One Year Out Fireworks - August 5
The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is closing out the opening night of the One Year Out Celebrations with a bang. On Monday, August 5, at 10 p.m., a fireworks display will take place at Quidi Vidi Lake following the Community Baseball Game at St. Pat’s Ballpark.

To facilitate this event, please note the following impacts to the Quidi Vidi lake area for Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6:
Road Closures/No Parking Tow Away Zones
Monday, August 5, 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- The Boulevard
- Lake Avenue
- Clancey Drive
- Lakeview Avenue
- Parking lots on either side of the Quidi Vidi dog park will be closed.
Vehicles parked in violation or parked such that they are obstructing traffic will be ticketed and towed.
Access will only be permitted for emergency vehicles. Local traffic will be permitted if safe to do so, while all other through traffic will be detoured.
Quidi Vidi Walking Trail and Dog Park Closure
Monday, August 5, 8:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 6, 12:00 p.m.
The Quidi Vidi dog park and a portion of the walking trail around Quidi Vidi Lake will be closed during the above-noted times.
Pet Owners
For the safety of your pets, please consider keeping them on a leash during the fireworks display.
