Snow Removal Update – Southlands, Kenmount Terrace, and Airport Heights

Contracts for snow removal have been awarded for the following subdivisions:

  • Southlands – $1.5 million
  • Kenmount Terrace – $1.2 million
  • Airport Heights (including the Anne Jeanette subdivision) – $800,000

Contractors will begin work today, February 24. All streets within these subdivisions are expected to be completed by Sunday, March 1, weather permitting.

Residents are reminded that the weather-related parking ban remains in effect. Vehicles must be kept off the streets to allow contractors to carry out snow clearing operations as efficiently and safely as possible.

Downtown snow removal and/or widening is scheduled on a number of downtown streets from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. this evening. Please remove vehicles to avoid ticketing or towing. A complete list of impacted streets can be found on our Downtown Snow Removal Map.

Please note that additional snowfall may result in delays. Snow clearing operations may take place during both daytime and nighttime hours as required.
