Space in Adult and Older Adult Spring Recreation Programs

There’s space in our adult & older adult programs! Looking to explore something new or revisit a hobby? We've got something for you! Join us for paint nights, learn to knit, bridge (level 3), ukulele for beginners, drop-in chess, rug hooking and drawing.

Paint Nights

Have fun and socialize while creating an acrylic painting on canvas led by an instructor. No experience required; materials provided.

Southlands Community Centre: Monday, April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kilbride Community Centre: Sunday, April 27from 6 to 8 p.m.

Shea Heights Community Centre: Sunday, May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Learn to Knit

Learn to knit projects from start to finish such as dishcloths, scarf/cowl and a hat. Practice material provided. Come bring your creative mind! No program April 23.

Southlands Community Centre: Wednesdays, April 16 to June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bridge Level 3

This is for advanced bridge players, completion of bridge level 2 is required.

Kenmount Terrace Community Centre: Mondays, April 23to June 9 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Ukulele for Beginners

Learn the basics of ukulele including how to hold, tune, strum and play basic chords. No experience necessary. Must bring your own ukulele.

H.G.R Mews Community Centre: Mondays, April 28to June 9from 6 to 7 p.m.

Drop-in Chess

Learn the basics of chess in this beginner class led by an experienced instructor. No registration necessary.

H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Thursdays, May 1 to June 5from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Rug Hooking

This spring we’ll explore different areas of rug hooking with five three-hour sessions. Classes are held at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre, first session is Monday, May 5.
