Space in Fall Adult and Seniors Programs

Good news - there is still space in the following recreation programs for adults and seniors:

Beginner Ballroom Dance

Includes primarily Foxtrot, Jive and Waltz. Intended for beginners and those wishing to improve basic skills. Note: partner required.

H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Sundays, Sept 8 to Nov 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Paul Reynolds Community Centre: Wednesdays, Sept 11 to Nov 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Intermediate Ballroom Dance

Intermediate dances such as the Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Quickstep and others, as time permits. Each with a pattern set to 16 bars of music. Note: Partner required.

H.G.R. Mews Community Centre: Sundays, September 8 to November 24 from 8 to 9 p.m.

Bridge Level 3

For advanced bridge players, completion of bridge level 2 is required.

Kenmount Terrace Community Centre: Mondays, September 9 to December 2 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Seniors Social Time

Socialize with friends while enjoying music and games.

Paul Reynold’s Community Centre: Mondays, September 9 to December 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A Time to Dance

An introductory class to different genres of music and dance such as Salsa, Merengue, Jazz, Samba and more. Note: All levels are welcome, partners are not required.

Paul Reynolds Community Centre: Tuesdays, September 10 to November 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Bridge Level 1

Introduction to the game of contract bridge, a trick taking card game using a deck of cards played by four players in two competing partnerships. Learn how to count points, bid and score the game. This course is for beginners.

Learn the basics of chess in this beginner class instructed by an experienced instructor.
