Street Rehab - September 8 to 12, 2026
Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 8 to 12 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation. Commuters may experience traffic delays in these areas:
- Belevedere Street
- Blackmarsh Road
- Cuckhold’s Cove Road
- Davies Place
- Freshwater Road
- Gower Street
- Hamilton Avenue
- Hutchings Street
- King’s Bridge Road
- Newfoundland Drive
- O’Regan Place
- Purcell Street
- University Aveue
- Water Street (Temperance Street to Hill O’Chips)
- Winter Avenue
Commuters may also experience traffic delays and should be wary of milled asphalt areas due to grind and patch operations on the following streets:
- Allandale Road
- Anspach Street
- Bay Bulls Road
- Columbus Drive
- Doyle’s Road
- Forbes Street
- Goldstone Street
- Higgin’s Line
- Kelsey Drive
- Kenmount Road
- Ladysmith Drive
- Mount Scio Road
- Newfoundland Drive
- Old Bay Bulls Road
- Old Petty Harbour Road
- Portugal Cove Road
- Prince Philip Drive
- Road de Luxe
- Thorburn Road
- Waterford Bridge Road
Pedestrian access will be maintained and/or alternate routes provided.
Other local/residential streets may have ongoing construction and affected homeowners and businesses have been notified separately.
