Traffic Advisory - 2026 Pride Parade
The St. John's Pride Parade, hosted by St. John's Pride, will take place on Sunday, July 19 from noon to 2 p.m. The route will begin on New Gower Street in front of City Hall, and travel east on Duckworth Street, before turning up Ordinance Street, onto Military Road, and ending in Bannerman Park.
Traffic control personnel will be stationed along the route to manage closures. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible.

7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- New Gower Street (eastbound): Waldegrave Street to Duckworth Street
- Duckworth Street: Duckworth Street to Church Hill
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- New Gower Street (westbound): Long’s Hill to Waldegrave Street
- Duckworth Street: Church Hill to Ordinance Street
- Ordinance Street
- Military Road: Cavendish Square to Bannerman Road
- Bannerman Road: Military Road to the Park Entrance
No Parking (Tow Away) Zones
Please note that vehicles parked at the below locations between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. may be ticketed and/or towed:
- New Gower Street (eastbound): Waldegrave Street to Duckworth Street
- Duckworth Street: New Gower Street to Ordinance Street
- Ordinance Street
- Bannerman Road: Military Road to the Park Entrance
Parking
Parking is limited for the event, and attendees are encouraged to use alternative forms of transportation or arrange to be dropped off. Parking along the parade route will not be permitted during the times noted above.
Accessibility
Accessible Parking is available at St. Thomas Anglican Church (8 Military Road), on a first come first serve basis for persons with a provincially issued accessible permit. The accessible parking area can be accessed via Cavendish Square, from Plymouth Road, prior to 11:45 am.
The Sensory Friendly Zone is located on Duckworth Street between LSPU Hall and Prescott Street.
