Trail and Park Closure - Tree Clearing Operations

Tuesday, April 7 for approximately 2 weeks

Tree clearing operations required for construction of the Airport Heights to Paul Reynolds Community Centre Shared-Use Path is scheduled to starting on Tuesday, April 7th, and will be ongoing for approximately two weeks.

Tree clearing operations will occur at two locations:

  • Penney Crescent to Trans-Canada Highway. This will require closure of a section of Penney Crescent Playground.
  • Spruce Meadows Park. This will require closure of the existing trails in the park.

Increased traffic on Penney Crescent and Stirling Crescent can be expected to allow for equipment and materials to reach the construction zones. The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions. The public is asked to follow all posted signage in and near the construction zones.

The City of St. John's apologizes for any inconvenience. For more details or to report an issue, contact Access St. John’s by calling 311 or (709) 754-CITY (2489), email access@stjohns.ca or submit an inquiry online.
