Update: Parking in Downtown Business Area

Snow clearing crews continue to work to clear streets across the City. Due to the large amount of snow, this will take more time than usual to clear all streets. Please be advised that parking in the downtown business area is impacted. To ensure there is no obstruction to traffic and snow clearing operations, please utilize off street parking if visiting the area this evening. Vehicles that impede traffic or snow clearing operations could be towed or ticketed.

24-Hour Parking Ban Remains in Effect

The 24-Hour Parking Ban outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District remains in effect. This means that on-street parking is prohibited 24-hours a day until the ban is lifted. Vehicles parked on the road during this time may be ticketed or towed.

An update will be issued to confirm when the parking ban will be lifted.

This parking ban is required for effective snow clearing and/or snow removal. Equipment operators can clear snow from roadways more effectively and efficiently when they do not need to maneuver around parked cars. This also reduces the need to return to clear areas where vehicles were parked.
