Vote-by-Mail Kits – Goulds Delivery Issue

The City of St. John’s advises that some vote-by-mail kits for residents in Goulds have been returned to City Hall by Canada Post. About 300 kits addressed to civic addresses were affected, as some residents receive their mail through PO Boxes. Canada Post does not deliver civic-addressed mail when a PO Box is on file.

Returned kits are being held at City Hall and can be re-addressed or picked up. If you use a PO Box, please contact the City by dialing 311 or 754-CITY (2489) or emailing election@stjohns.ca to make arrangements.

Residents can also vote in person on election day, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m at the Voting Centre in their ward. Acceptable identification is required. Voting Centres in Ward 5 are located at:

  • Shea Heights Community Centre – 130 Linegar Avenue
  • Goulds Recreation Centre – 509 Main Road
