Youth Forum: Virtual Session November 29
Building on the success of its in-person event held in October, the City’s Youth Engagement Working Group is hosting a virtual event on Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. on Zoom.
This session focuses on:
- arts and culture
- active transportation
- parks, trails and open spaces
The session is open to anyone living in St. John’s between 18 and 30 years of age.
Register here or visit engagestjohns.ca to learn more or sign up for the City’s Youth Panel.
A second session is planned for January 26. This session will bring together what was heard at the previous two events and develop recommendations the YEWG can present to Council. Registration for this virtual session is also open.
The Youth Forum was one of the recommendations in the Youth Engagement Strategy. It is one of the actions the City is taking to better engage youth in civic matters, thereby providing them with input into decisions that affect them, today and into the future. Youth engagement was identified as a priority in the City’s strategic plan, Our City, Our Future.
