Canada Day and Memorial Day Holiday City Schedule 2026
Due to the Canada Day and Memorial Day holiday, all City offices, community centres and the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.
Please note the following:
- Curbside waste will not be collected on Wednesday; it will be collected on Thursday along with Thursday’s regular collection.
- All City parking by-laws are still in effect; however paid parking regulations will not be enforced as Wednesday is a Shops Closing holiday.
- The Visitor Information Centre at 348 Water Street will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- The splash pads at the Kenmount Terrace Community Centre and Bannerman Park will be open for operation from 9 a.m. to dusk on Wednesday. The splash pad at Bowring Park and the outdoor pools at Bowring Park and Bannerman Park will open for the season on Thursday, July 2.
- Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenmount Park, Quidi Vidi Lake and Kenny’s Pond.
- Street cleaning operations will occur as scheduled on Wednesday, July 1, starting at 10 p.m. Vehicles that are not removed during the time indicated will be ticketed.
