Payment Processing Interruptions & Website Application Outages

The City of St. John’s advises residents that the following payment processes will be unavailable on January 23, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to scheduled system maintenance:

  • In-person payments at the Access Centre
  • Over the phone and in-person payments for Permits and Inspection Services

As a result, residents will be unable to make property tax payments or pay for property permits, applications, or licenses during this time period.

In addition, several online pages and tools will be temporarily unavailable on StJohns.ca from Friday, January 23 at 1:30 p.m. until late Sunday evening, January 25, including:

  • Property Assessment Search Application
  • Ward Lookup
  • Snow Clearing Street Priority Look-up
  • Lead Pipe Lookup
