The 24-Hour Parking Ban outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District ends at 7:30 a.m.
24-Hour Parking Ban in Effect: January 5, 2024The 24-Hour Parking Ban will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 6:00 p.m.
Overnight Winter Parking Bans in EffectOn-street overnight winter parking bans are in effect from January 3 until April 5, 2024.
The following bans are in effect daily regardless of weather and street conditions:
- Downtown Business District: 4 to 6 a.
24-Hour Parking Ban Cancelled: November 29, 2023The 24-hour parking ban originally scheduled for 6 p.m.
24-Hour Parking Ban in Effect: November 29, 2023The 24-Hour Parking Ban will be in effect outside the Designated Downtown Area and Business District starting 6:00 p.m.
Winter Parking Bans that Apply to StreetsPlease be advised of the following winter parking bans and applicable dates.

From December 1 to March 31, parking is prohibited 24-hours a day on streets designated as ‘ Nov 29, 2023
William Street Parking DisruptionThe City of St. John’s will be painting angled parking stalls on William Street on Thursday, September 28 and Friday, September 29, weather permitting.
Accessible Parking NoticeThe City of St. John’s has scheduled updates for certain accessible parking spaces in the upcoming weeks.Notice to Motorists - Regatta Eve & Regatta DayRoad closures and detours are in effect this week, due to the Regatta.
These changes will be in effect starting on the eve of Regatta, Tuesday August 1, 2023 through to the end of Regatta Day, Wednesday August 2, 2023 (or whichever days Regatta Eve and Regatta Day fall on).
