Parklets
Parklets are seasonal outdoor patios or seating areas located on sidewalks or in on-street parking spaces. Operating from late May to the end of October, they add valuable service space for businesses and help create a vibrant summer streetscape, especially in the downtown core.
Restaurants, bars, and retail businesses can apply to use City streets and sidewalks for outdoor patios, from small sidewalk setups to larger curbside installations.
Parklets may be installed on both private property and City-owned land. Details for each option are provided below. Before filling out the application form, ensure you review the linked resources.
