Traffic Advisory – Freshwater Road/Kenmount Road (between Polina Road and Crosbie Road)To accommodate road and sidewalk upgrades on Freshwater Road/Kenmount Road between Polina Road and Crosbie Road, the following traffic impacts will be in effect starting at 7 a.m.
Changes to School Zone Speed Limit HoursEffective September 3, 2025, the City of St. John’s will update school zone speed limit times to begin 30 minutes earlier, aligning with the Newfoundland and Labrador Aug 28, 2025

Times: 12 p.m.Bridge Rehabilitation on Columbus Drive at Waterford Bridge Road Overpass Begins August 26Bridge rehabilitation work on the Columbus Drive Overpass near Waterford Bridge Road will begin Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed in summer 2026.
Work in 2025 focuses on sidewalks, the median, and work underneath the overpass.
Road Closure: Southern Portion of Fowler’s RoadPlease be advised that the southern portion of Fowler’s Road is closed today as ground crews continue suppression efforts on the Paddy’s Pond fire.
We will update the public once the road has reopened.
