Traffic Advisory - Elizabeth Avenue
Please be advised of a change in location of a road closure impacting Elizabeth Avenue. Elizabeth Ave from Paton Street to Whiteway Street has reopened to traffic, while the road remains closed from Paton Street to Freshwater Road.
Street Rehab - September 3 to 7Contractors may be working on the following streets from September 3 to 7 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.

Traffic Advisory - New Traffic Signal - Elizabeth Avenue @ Newtown RoadEffective Date: Thursday, August 29, 2024
The City has installed a new traffic signal at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Newtown Road, near the MUN Administration Building. This signal is part of our ongoing efforts to improve road safety and manage traffic flow more effectively.
Detour - Blackmarsh Road (Pearce Avenue to Cashin Avenue)Due to water main replacement work, Blackmarsh Road, between Pearce Avenue and Cashin Avenue, will be closed to westbound traffic starting on August 27 at 7am until November 1 at 7pm. A detour will be in place.
