The votes for the Ward 4 By-Election have been counted. Residents have elected a new council representative, Tom Davis.
PSA - Ward 4 By-Election DayTomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, residents living in Ward 4 of the City of St. John's will elect a new Councillor.
Road Update: March 10Motorists are advised that the following roads have been reopened to the public as of 5:30 a.m.
Storm Cleanup Update – March 9The snow mostly stopped by 11:00 a.m.
Update: Parking in Downtown Business AreaSnow clearing crews continue to work to clear streets across the City. Due to the large amount of snow, this will take more time than usual to clear all streets.
Road Closure - Ruby Line (Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive to Main Road )Motorists are advised that Ruby Line from Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive to Main Road is closed due to heavy drifting and reduced visibility.
Update: City of St. John’s Facility Closures – March 9Please be advised that City facilities will remain closed for the remainder of the day (March 9). This includes recreation facilities and the residential drop off at Robin Hood Bay.
Road Closures - Cochrane Pond Road and Blackhead RoadMotorists are advised of the following road closures due to heavy drifting and reduced visibility:
- Cochrane Pond Road from Civic #51-135 off Back Line, Goulds
- Blackhead Road from Blackhead Village to Cape Spear
An update will be provided once the roads have reopened. Residents are reminded that in the event of emergency to call 911.
City of St. John’s Facility Closures – March 9Due to the forecasted weather and related cleanup, City recreation facilities and the Robin Hood Bay Residential Drop Off will be closed tomorrow morning, Saturday, March 9, with an update at 11 a.m.
