Water Street - Lane Reduction
Motorists are advised that Water Street (in the vicinity of the National War Memorial) will be reduced to one lane to facilitate some remaining construction. Flag persons will be on site. Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route, if possible. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Traffic and Parking Impacts - Pride Parade
The 2024 Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, July 21.
The parade will begin on New Gower street, and travel East on Duckworth Street, before turning up Cavendish Square, onto Military Road, and ending in Bannerman Park.

Street Rehab - July 15 to 20Contractors may be working on the following streets from July 15 to 20 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.

Expressions of Interest - Short Term Rental of Bannerman Park CanteenThe canteen located in Bannerman Park has recently become available for a food vendor. While the City intends to carry out a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a long-term vendor in the fall, we are currently seeking expressions of interest for a temporary tenant to occupy the canteen until the end of September.

Commercial Parking Permit Monthly Rates ReducedIn alignment with the City’s Paid Parking Management Strategy (PPMS), City Council has approved reductions for commercial parking permit monthly rates, as follows:
- Prince Street Lot – From $175 to $150
- City Hall Garage Level 5 – From $175 to $100
- Central/Livingstone Street – From $146 to $100
- Queen’s Road – From $146 to $80
- Gower Street – From $146 to $80
- Plymouth Road – From $146 to $80
- Water Street East – From $115 to $60
This change came into effect on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
The PPMS was approved.
