Street Rehab - November 27 to December 2
Contractors may be working on the following streets from November 27 to December 2 under the City’s annual streets rehabilitation and infrastructure maintenance programs. Work could include concrete/street excavation, concrete work, paving, heater scarifying, utility adjustment, ditch cleaning and culvert installation.
Application - 87 Springdale StreetApplication
A Change of Non-Conforming Use application has been submitted by Barding House Cookery at 87 Springdale Street.
Description
The proposed application is a change of use from a commercial use (Merrywood Pet Boutique) to a Restaurant Use (catering).
Strategic Plan UpdateSince the last progress update to Council in August 2023, 11 Strategic Plan Initiatives have been completed, bringing the total number of completed initiatives to 133, since the launch in 2019. In addition, there are another 19 initiatives on track to being completed in 2023.
Lane Reduction - Duckworth Street (from King's Road to Holloway Street)Monday, November 27 to Monday, December 4
Motorists are advised that Duckworth Street from King’s Road to Holloway Street will be reduced to one lane to facilitate the ongoing construction project adjacent to the National War Memorial. Signage will be in place and traffic lights and/or flag persons will be on site.
Street Closure - Springdale Street (from Water Street to George Street West)Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, from Water Street to George Street West, will be closed from November 27 to December 1 from 7:00 a.m.
Road Closures & Parking Restrictions - Downtown Christmas ParadeSunday, November 26th - (inclement weather date is Sunday, December 3rd)
(the decision to postpone will be made by 8:00 a.m.
