We operate one of the provinces 911 centres. It provides around-the-clock 911 emergency telephone service to citizens of the Northeast Avalon.

SJRFD fire dispatchers handle all fire and rescue related 911 calls in our region. All other 911 calls are forwarded to the appropriate emergency response agency for the caller's area.

Even in the event of a shutdown or crisis in the building or area, the 911 Communications Centre remains fully functional. We maintain a redundant fire dispatch centre and become operational within seconds of a critical incident. If necessary, all 911 calls are re-routed to 911 Corner Brook.
