Road Safety

The safety of City roads is everyone's responsibility. Whether you drive, cycle or walk, you can contribute to road safety by following traffic laws.

The City of St. John’s completes a collision report every few years to review the road network performance and support transportation planning and road safety improvements. The report summarizes collision data over a multi-year period, including trends at intersections and mid-block locations, as well as incidents involving pedestrians and cyclists.

Prepared by the City’s Transportation Engineering Division, it helps identify higher-risk areas and informs future safety upgrades and infrastructure planning.
